Default Scribe's Insight [Test] Build

alright, while capping some elites yesterday i stumbled upon Scribes Insight. i immediately had an idea for this, slowly putting stuff together. after a bit of talk with this horrible guy (;p), i finished the build. its supposed to be for PVE, im not really sure if this would do any good in PVP (mainly due to the lack of self heal [protection])

Attributes:

Inspiration: 10
Divine Favor: 11 + 1 [12]
Healing Prayers: 10 + 1 + 1 [12]

Skills:
Heal Other
Jamei's Gaze
Signet of Rejuvenation
Signet of Devotion
Mantra of Inscriptions
Dismiss Conditions
Inspired Hex
Scribe's Insight [Elite]

i havnt tested it a lot due to a couple of reasons, but heres how it is supposed to work:

once you load the area, use Mantra of Inscriptions. let your energy recharge - keep reapplying it when its about to run out or if you have the energy for it. when your about to enter a battle, use Scribe's Insight. be careful if there are Mesmer mobs, they might Shatter it - dont put yourself in the frontline. pretty obvious why anyways. no Monk should put themselves in danger, especially if they lack of efficient self healing like in this build.

do your opening heal with Heal Other, keep in mind they supply for great heals so wait before using it. then start using a quick Signet to gain energy, wait again for a nice target to give a huge health boost, throw another 10e if needed, shoot away signets for energy. always keep Mantra up, it makes sure your signets will recharge quick enough to supply the energy you need.

its important NOT to overheal, keep in mind, they heal for nearly 200 health, its not like Orison or something. ;p but dont keep your heals back too long either, it might be too late. generally try to use Signet of Rej. on melees as they will be most likely attacking, and use Devotion on casters, both signets also work as self heal, but dont try to tank with them, they wont keep you alive that long. ;p

last: remove conditions if needed via Dismiss Conditions (any other condition removal would work as well, Draw is nice if your monk partner carries Dismiss so you'd save a lot of energy), and remove hexes if someone really needs one removed/you need emergency energy. if you dont need the energy, switch out Inspired for Holy Veil; its an actual hex removal + you COULD use it as cover enchant for your elite.

suppose thats all. >.> hoping for some comments on this as im too lazy..err, i mean, too busy (:|) to test this - altho ive planned on trying it in the mists, but Quickening Zephyr is WAY too deadly for this. ;p

oh, and as for weapons; anything works i suppose. 20% healing recharge would be nice (cast wouldnt matter THAT much~), enchants 20% works well - use whatever you like/got

thanks,

Moko~

....................

Yeah this is a nice build I think, I still have to cap the skill myself

I use a 40% half spell recharge set, so I agree with the 20% healing recharge, and I use a sup healing rune.. so my attributes would be a little different.

Oh just listen to Moko and try it..

ever thought about signet of malice? 1/4 activation time helps with short recharge

Is signet of malice a mesmer or monk skill?

It might be another signet... but Mantra of Inscriptions is a key skill in the build, I've tried this build in THK (basically a test run mission for me...) worked quite well.

I'll look into a variation of it and see what I can find

the problem with Signet of Malice is that its from Sin, meaning i cant use Mantra of Inscriptions which is a "key" for the other signets to recharge faster. the overall recharge of Devotion/Rejuvenation with Mantra is probably greater than the result i'd get with Malice/Devotion/Rejuvenation.
